New Flowerbase Upgrade Now Available for Download (V4.0 for Windows) 2. Flowerbase Specials We've been working this month fixing the Flowerbase operating system which was causing problems in Windows '98 (and on some systems in Windows '95). Basically, Flowerbase was using a system which was developed in 1993 more appropriate for computers of the early nineties. We have now upgraded the system which relies on the visual foxpro libraries, which are automatically installed when you upgrade. We have tested the new system in the field with several people who were having a lot of difficulty running the old system, and it now runs very smotthly, and glitch free. Some of you will be surprised that we have done this work, as we indicated to many of our contacts that we would not be continuing to develop Flowerbase. After some consideration, we felt that although it is not a commercial venture as such, we should upgrade Flowerbase to give it many more years of operation out in the field. We feel that this is community work for us, as we are very involved in several other Internet projects, which are very time consuming. New Flowerbase Upgrade Now Available for Download (V4.0 for Windows) A new version of Flowerbase is now available for download for registered users. If you are using windows, and do not have version 4.0, visit the Flowerbase members area to upgrade your copy now. You can determine which version you currently have by starting your copy of Flowerbase, and then looking in the top left hand corner of the opening screen. The latest version is fully compatible with Windows '98, and some of the minor problems which occured in Windows '95 have been fixed.
