Acupuncture Meridian Correspondences of Flower Essences ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ancient Chinese theory tells us that the acupuncture points on the human body are points along an unseen meridian system that runs deeply throughout the tissues of the body. Through these meridians passes an invisible nutritive energy known to the Chinese as "ch’i". The ch’i energy, or life force, enters the body through the acupuncture points and flows to deeper organ structures bringing life-giving nourishment of a subtle energetic nature. The meridians distribute the subtle magnetic energies of ch’i which provide sustenance and organisation for the physical-cellular structure of each organ system. The Chinese also believe that when the flow of energy to the organs becomes blocked or imbalanced, dysfunction of the organ system will occur. Dysfunction at the physical level may be reflected by imbalances in the paired meridians of the body. The meridians can be viewed as electrical circuits which connect the superficial acupuncture points to deeper organ structures, passageways for the life force to enter the body. They lie between the etheric and physical bodies and have a direct association with the circulatory and nervous systems. The meridians connect the different acupuncture points in the body. It is essential for the health and wellbeing of the organism that there be sufficient energy in these circuits and that they all be balanced with respect to one another. When a flower essence is ingested or applied, it is assimilated into the circulatory system (bloodstream) and settles midway between the nervous and circulatory systems. From there the remedy usually moves directly to the meridians. Then the remedy’s life-force enters the various subtle bodies, the chakras, or returns directly to the physical body to the cellular level through several portals midway between the nervous and circulatory system. Its path is determined by the type of remedy and the person’s constitution. Gurudas, in his book Flower Essences and Vibrational Healing, says that "Acupuncture is but the life force flowing through the physical form of the needles. Acupuncture needles can be dipped into water infused with a flower essence. Moreover, having the flower essence bottle in the room in which the treatment occurs, slightly enhances the process. The bottle does not have to be open". Vasudeva and Ka’da’mbii Barnao of the Living Essences clinic in Perth use floral acupuncture and claim that specific acupuncture points (such as the "shenmen point", a major acupuncture point used in conjunction with others for operations without anaesthetic) are not the only points to place flower essences. They have made their own maps of different floral acupoints on the body, special points which are used to get a specific message, such as ‘let go’, to the body. Peter Fraser, an Acupuncturist and Natural Therapist from N.S.W., Australia tested the Australian Bush Flower Essences on the Vega machine. He resonated the meridian complexes with the Bush Essences to see if they resonated with any of the meridians. The information presented below represents the multiple or single resonances with the acupuncture meridians. 2. Adding new remedies to the FLOWERBASE database ------------------------------------------------------------------- A number of our subscribers have recently asked about adding remedies to the FLOWERBASE database, typically: "Flowerbase sounds great and I'm definitely interested, but I do have a question: Is it possible to add to the database? A number of the essences I use are not made by the companies you list in your resources." When we first designed FLOWERBASE, we knew that this question would be raised, and we were keen to biuld as much flexibility into the program as possible, so we built an editor in where you could create your own modules, and add new unlisted remedies to that module. In FLOWERBASE's early days, no-one seemed interested in this feature, and most users were content with the information sources provided with FLOWERBASE. With the emergence of numerous new flower essence companies world wide, there has been a sudden demand for this feature, where users can add unlisted remedies. We have listed below a simple method for creating a new customised information module, and adding remedies. Once the new module has been created, you can use it to interview your clients using the "Screening Assessment", or if you wish, simply to store new key words; CREATING YOUR OWN CUSTOM MODULES From the main main, select "File Manager/Remedy Modules". The control available from the Remedy modules screen allows you to create a new module, ready to store your own Screening Assessment questionnaire, or own remedies. User created modules are able to be edited, whereas FLOWERBASE supplied modules cannot be altered. On selecting the control, a new window appears titled Create new module, requesting the unique name which you wish to allocate to the module file. This name is used by FLOWERBASE system files to construct and identify the newly created module. You may wish to type your name, or a name similar to the remedies you wish to include in the module e.g., LOUISE1 or DRBACH1. To cancel the operation at this point, press to return to the Remedy modules screen. After you have typed a unique file name, FLOWERBASE will check existing module names to ensure that the same name does not exist. If the same name exists, an error message is displayed, allowing you to select a new name. If FLOWERBASE accepts the Module file name which you typed, you will be prompted to complete further details before proceeds with constructing the new module. Ensure that you check all details, as system information on modules cannot be altered. Other fields which you must complete include; The name you wish to allocate to the module. - The name which you type in this field will be displayed whenever the list of modules installed on your system is shown. Ensure that you observe the naming convention shown in the examples on the screen underneath the field for correct FLOWERBASE operation. Reference. - Type the name of your references in this field. The reference to your newly created module will be displayed on the FLOWERBASE opening screen. Copyright message. (Dos edition only) - This field should only be completed if the module contents constitutes your own work. If you intend copying FLOWERBASE supplied modules into your own module, leave this field blank. User created modules cannot be shared, marketed or sold, and it is essential that you observe copyright laws if you place a notice into this field. Press after typing details into each field, or press to cancel the operation. ADDING NEW REMEDIES TO YOUR CUSTOM MODULE From the main menu, select "File Manager/Remedy Modules", and then double click your newly created module, and click "View". Click . This enables the New remedy window, where you type the new remedy's common and latin names. Press after each field, and select or . To add another remedy after saving, select . You may select and view the new remedy from the viewing screen using the menu popup in the bottom left corner of the screen. After you have added each of the remedies, you're ready to add statements and key words for each of these remedies. ADDING NEW STATEMENTS (QUESTIONS) AND KEYWORDS TO YOUR CUSTOM MODULE From the main menu, select "File Manager/Remedy Modules", and then double click your newly created module, and click "View". To add new records for the displayed remedy, select from the viewing screen accessible from the Remedy modules screen. The Add new records window is brought forward, displaying the remedy for which you wish to add records. Type the new record for the displayed remedy, and select to save the record, or to cancel the operation. You may add new records for the displayed remedy by selecting the control. When creating new statements and keywords, it's well worth reading the articles titled "WORDING REMEDY STATEMENTS" and "COPYING RECORDS BETWEEN MODULES", found in your online help file. 4.
