FLOWERBASE Hardware Requirements

Please select the system which you are interested in;

FLOWERBASE for Windows

  • 80386SX Processor (or higher).
  • Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device.
  • 6Mb RAM if virtual memory is set to none or 4Mb RAM if virtual memory is set to temporary or permanent.
  • Microsoft Windows 95, Windows NT, or Windows 3.0 or higher running in 386 enhanced mode.
  • VGA or higher resolution monitor recommended.
  • Up to 10Mb of Hard drive space.

    • FLOWERBASE for DOS

  • Standard version: IBM or compatible PC using an 8088 or higher CPU. Extended version: IBM or compatible PC using a 386SX or higher CPU.
  • MS-DOS version 3.1 or later.
  • 14 Mb of hard drive space for installation (requires up to 7Mb of space after installation).
  • Standard version: 640K RAM memory (2Mb or greater recommended). Extended version: 3Mb RAM memory. If you wish to run FLOWERBASE For DOS from Windows (using FBASE.EXE), ensure that you have 4-8Mb of RAM memory installed for optimum operation.
  • A VGA colour card and monitor. If you do not have a VGA colour card installed in your computer, you may run FLOWERBASE effectively using FBASE.EXE instead of FB.BAT.
  • Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device recommended.
  • High density disk drives. FLOWERBASE is supplied on high density disks.

    • FLOWERBASE for Macintosh

  • 68020 or higher processor
  • Available hard disk space: 9.5Mb
  • RAM memory: At least 4Mb free. 8Mb is recommended.
  • Operating system: System 7.0 or later.
  • Display or monitor: Any Macintosh-compatible monitor.
  • Mouse pointing device: Essential.
  • High density disk drives. FLOWERBASE is supplied on high density disks.

    Note: The following Macintosh models are not compatible with FLOWERBASE for Macintosh: 128K and 512K Macintoshes; Macintosh Plus; Macintosh SE; and Macintosh Classic.

    • FLOWERBASE for Power Macintosh

  • Power Macintosh 601 or higher
  • Available hard disk space: 10.5Mb
  • RAM memory: At least 8Mb free.
  • Operating system: System 7.1.2 or later.
  • Display or monitor: Any Macintosh-compatible monitor.
  • Mouse pointing device: Essential.
  • High density disk drives. FLOWERBASE is supplied on high density disks.
